haneyhack
I checked through the forums but couldn't find an answer to this, though it may be there and my search just didn't hit it. Here is my question: I have a company on a hosting account using paypal subscription. The payment is via a credit card through paypal. The person whose credit card is being charged (a partner of the company) is leaving the organization and does not want to charges to accrue against their credit card any more. The other partner will take the responsibility of payment via their own credit card. What is the process for changing subscription information for an existing account, from one person to another so the NEW person will be charged and not the old person, without disrupting or having the site canceled? Thanks to anyone who can assist!
chickendippers
So only the credit card is being changed? The PayPal account remains the same? Unfortunately PayPal will cancel the subscription when the credit card details are changed. So: Go to the invoice on the due date and a "PayPal Subscribe" button will appear, Re-subscribe. That's all there is to it.
haneyhack
Thanks Chickendippers, I tried to find the "PayPal Subscribe" button when looking at the invoice, but nothing was there, I then logged into the Users account and checked the invoice there, and viola! There was the paypal subscribe button. Thanks again for the tip!
mrprez
If the new credit card is added before the old one is removed then you can change the funding source to the new CC and then cancel the old one and the subscription will remain in effect.
