Of Course there is paypal, but i mean a module that will allow us to accept cards direct on our website.

Looking for the cheapest way of doing this as i dont really have much knowledge of it.

Thanks for your help guys

Jas

I dont know if you can get any cheaper than this but it usually costs around $79 to get an authorize.net account after being successfully verified. There is an outfit here that is offering this exact thing and the setup fee is waived until March the 4th, tomorrow, so if you signup you could get an Authorize.net account without paying a setup fee.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to hop in here to address a few of the items brought up pertaining to CDGcommerce and answer them directly, "right from the source."

1. Regarding Online App Reminder E-mails:

One of the forum members mentioned that they were getting "constant e-mails from us" to sign up once they started the online application process. I think that they mentioned 10-12X per day but I'm guessing that they really meant 10-12 over the entire time since they started... as our online application follow-up reminder only runs in specified increments and unless there is a system error that I'm unaware of (and which no one else has ever told us about!) there is no possible way that someone could get 10-12 e-mails IN A DAY from our online app reminder system.

Our app reminder is an automated system that is designed to simply keep an applicant up-to-date on the status of their application and remind them if we still need information. There isn't any more to it than that and we've actually had a lot of people appreciate the fact that we do keep in touch with them and remind them if something is still pending.

This avoids the otherwise all too familiar scenario of a merchant submitting 90% of their paperwork, expecting the account to be opened right when their storefront is ready to do business - only to realize that the last 10% of the paperwork is going to take them an extra week to get to us and now they have missed their launch deadline.

All that said, however, there is a simple thing that any applicant can do who applies with us if they do not want to receive reminder e-mails... we have a function on the app system that lets you put your application ON HOLD. This way, you can continue only when you are ready to do so and no automatic reminders will be sent in the mean time.

Again, the last thing that we would ever want to do is to irritate anyone and we really go to extra lengths to make everything with our company a very pleasant and satisfying experience that minimizes hassles and saves time for everyone involved.

Many folks really do like our app reminder system for the reasons mentioned earlier and those who aren't quite ready to complete their application can just put their app ON HOLD and avoid getting any further follow up e-mails at all.

2. Debunking the "Indian Call Center" Myth:

CDGcommerce does NOT outsource its phone calls to India and we have no intention of ever doing so. In fact, there is only one team member at CDGcommerce who happens to be Indian and he does not handle phone support. There are naturally some employees here that come from different ethnic backgrounds but I don't think that is an unusual thing here for any U.S. business - we are, after all, a big melting pot of cultures.

As far as CDG goes, our business is headquartered in Chesapeake, Virginia. We have a small finance office in San Pedro, California and even our back up call center which handles overflow calls or off-hour calls is based right here in Virginia.

3. Quantum Payment Gateway Speed:

As others here and on other forums have attested, the Quantum Payment Gateway is a very fast gateway with a superb track record of reliability & uptime and with a great feature set not found in other systems.

That is why we put together such a large program with it and offer it to our merchants absolutely free of charge... unlike other gateways like Authorize.Net where we would actually make money on the gateway side but which wouldn't as good a deal for our merchants.

Our goal from the start has always been to put our merchants first and provide them with the best possible value we can - and that has truly been a successful approach for our business over the last decade. Almost all of our business is generated from referrals and positive word of mouth which means we can allocate much more of our budget for service & support instead of on expensive marketing campaigns while still sustaining tremendous growth as a business. We also have an incredibly low attrition rate which means that we keep the clients who sign up with us - despite having no early termination fees or other "contractual locks" on them as do many of our competitors.

Now in terms of the speed concern, to my knowledge the only time that "slowness" was ever encountered was for a brief period on merchants with QPG using Verified by Visa/MasterCard SecureCode due to a 3rd party vendor problem with Cardinal Commerce. This problem was quickly corrected by them and everything was back to normal speed thereafter.

My hope here is that I've directly addressed the items brought up here in this thread but I am happy to elaborate further or answer any other questions that anyone has about CDGcommerce, our programs, etc. Thanks!

I was browsing through all the gateways in WHMCS for a cheap UK-based company and the closest I got was nochex. They have two levels of account and they've got a half price setup offer on just now.

I thought nochex was like paypay? or are they a proper gateway so to speak i.e. i'll need a merchant account number from my bank?
