nkthen
I resell websites. What I did was I setup domain names and hosting accounts on my server. When I sell a website from me, the client will need to sign up a hosting account with me and they will get the domain name + website. Now, WHMCS can automatically setup an account for me by interacting with cPanel. But how do I setup the process where the client will sign up with me, their account will 'tally' with the domain name and hosting that are already existed in my server? In short: 1) What do they choose when they are at the domain name order page? 2) What do I do when they sign up for a hosting account? How do I 'attach' the domain name + hosting account to their invoicing?
BAJI26
I would think they would signup as normal, enter the domain and let it create an account, then move the website to their cPanel with their domain.
brianoz
This sounds like you are trying to do entry of historical data so clients will be rebilled? If the client already exists on your server, that must be the case, though I'm confused as to why you think the client would be entering their stuff. If they're already with you, surely *you* as the hosting company would be doing any internal re-entry of their account details?
nkthen
The client is not with my company. The website and domain name is with my company. I need to 'attach' their billing information with the purchased domain name and cPanel account.
brianoz
Who do they pay for their webhosting? It sounds like they pay a direct client of yours (a reseller of some sort). If that is what happens, then you would create the direct client of yours as a customer and use the instructions for adding historical (already current) details in the WHMCS manual. In summary, create the client, then use Add order with "don't send invoice" and "don't send order email" checked, then immediately go in and edit the renewal date (on both account and domain) to be accurate and save. Then the renewal notice will then go out when they are due.
BAJI26
I think he designs sites and offer them with a free domain or sumting, so when a person purchases the site and the domain via whmcs, I think he wants to transfer the purchased site and domain to the new whmcs account. I think! Correct me if I'm wrong.
nkthen
Hi BAJI26, you're right. That's what I'm going to do. Looks like manual creation of the account is the way to go as suggested by brian
