Clients getting to the /index.php?rp=/user/accounts page allover the client area

Recommended Posts

hello,

I have 2 installations upgraded last week to 8.13 and in both clients are getting sporadically to the /index.php?rp=/user/accounts page

where they need to click their account to continue. The clients have only one account of course.

so clients are also getting /index.php?rp=/user/access-denied from time to time...

WHMCS is failing to produce debugging options and suggesting one of my modules or the template is causing this and want me to strip down everything and start eliminating modules...

I'm looking for a way to understand better why this is happening in order to pinpoint the issue and have it fixed.

None of the native WHMCS or php/apache logs are showing anything...

Most of clients reporting the issue seem to be on win 10/11 on both chrome and edge browsers.

thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're encountering. I have reviewed the ticket, and unfortunately, we do not have any additional debugging options out of the box to troubleshoot an intermittent issue like this. I understand that stripping custom modules in a production environment is not always feasible. In that case, would you mind cloning your production environment to a staging environment using your development license and replying to the ticket with access details? This will allow us to investigate further by moving aside the customizations, etc.

the problem is I can't replicate the error on my side... I've tried installing win10 in a VM and also got to a win11 system but wasn't able to reproduce.

the client that do get the error reported they have win10/win11 with Chrome / Edge browser..

thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

It is not always straightforward to debug issues that are not readily reproducible, which is why we need to narrow down the problem to its core.

We can still attempt to address it in a test environment. If you are concerned about sensitive data, you can obfuscate it with dummy records before providing access.
