isdoo
Hi, Our morning cron run has just sent 22 emails to one client - this is far too many and needs to be looked at to reduce the number of emails. He had 3 domains renewed on credit He had 13 domains expiring in 90 days First of all the domain renewals. Why are these being sent out as three separate invoices? They are all on the same payment gateway, so I would have expected them all to be on the same invoice. Maybe this is a bug - but 9 emails being sent for 3 domains is crazy. Why does he also get an invoice, and receipt - surely these could be combined, especially as both generate an 'invoice', both marked 'Paid' - these is a duplication. Ideally he should have had 2 emails - one with the three domains on confirming their payment along with an invoice/receipt, and one confirming that all three domains had been renewed (again rather than 3 separate emails) Domain expiry notices He should not be getting 13 emails all detailing one domain that is due to expire in 90 days. I have suggested this in another post, so will not dwell on this here. This batch could have been sent in 3 emails rather than the 22 emails that were sent out. Maybe this is an extreme example - but in order to keep clients happy we need to be brief and concise yet at the same time detail all the required information in a clear fashion - in fact he has a greater chance of missing info on a larger number of emails (especially as he may feel info has just been repeated) Thanks.
JasonO
I agree, things related to each other should be kept together in emails. I've not had any customers like yours yet (with multiple domains etc) so not seen a serious problem. But 22 emails is obviously way to many, and could be reduced by a lot
chickendippers
If the products have the same due date then they will be grouped into a single invoice (therefore only be sent one email). I don't know if domain name renewals behave the same though.
isdoo
not if credits are involved - all were set to cheque, but all three were on separate invoices.
Dominic
Domain expiry notices should definitely be collated
