I want to disable coupon on new orders but dont want to affect existing orders with recurring cycle left

So I created a coupon to offer 50% off on monthly hosting plan that was set for recurring 2 times(for 3  months in total) for the black friday sale. Now i want to disable the coupon so no new order comes for a 50% discount but dont want to affect people who used it and still have 50% off on their next 2 billing cycles. How Do I proceed.

Expire the promo code and it will have the desired effect. Expiring a promo code won't affect any previous order placed using the code.
