Emperor
What is the recommended/best OS from these option to run WHMCS? And would the resources in the 2nd image be sufficient? All sites are hosted on a different much larger servers (4 VPSs) This would just need to run WHMCS and Frontend of same. Thanks, C
RadWebHosting
You can run WHMCS on any one of the operating systems depicted in the image file you shared. And yes, WHMCS is less than 80 GB. You may need to increase later depending upon usage, but it will be fine for initial installation.
johnharry2
For running WHMCS, a Linux-based OS like CentOS, Ubuntu, or AlmaLinux is typically recommended due to stability and compatibility. As for the resources, if WHMCS and the frontend are the only things running, the setup in the second image should be sufficient. Just ensure there's enough headroom for smooth performance and future updates.
Huslua
I’ve had good experience running WHMCS on CentOS and Ubuntu. Both are solid choices for this kind of setup since they're stable and widely used in hosting environments. As for the resources in the second image, it looks like it could work for running WHMCS and the frontend, especially if the sites are hosted on bigger servers. I’d recommend keeping an eye on the load in the beginning to make sure things stay smooth, but it should be manageable if you're not expecting a lot of heavy traffic right away.
