goldeagle
Ok people, I am new here and realise I may have this posted in the wrong section. However there are a couple of things that are concerning me at the moment with WHMCS. The first is, an order was placed on the system and than paid for using paypal. Now before the payment has been made it was rightly flagged as pending, so far so good. But after the payment has been made and the account created what I get instead is active accounts = xx but the pending matches the number of active accounts. every account although paid for and checked by me and the system is still flagged as pending. I made the mistake of clicking the red X which unfortunately also deleted the users packages from within the client area. This is concern #1 #2 is that a client opened a ticket and the admin overview showed this on the panel on the right. Great I thought, a good way of monitoring tickets and how quickly they are answered. Anyway we play ticket tennis until the client finally realises they are using the wrong details despite what im telling them <g>. Anyway so it is resolved and the ticket is closed. Up until this point everything is as it should be. But once the ticket is closed I go back tot eh home page for the admin area and..... the panel says I still have the ticket open and is now flagged as being severly overdue, hmm. Surely this figure should go down by one or if it was the only one open, should be reset back to 0 shouldnt it? On other news, Matt, how is v3.6 doing? Are we any closer to a production release do you think? I am eager to use those admin roles for some support staff. Regards, Tom.
WHMCS Developer WHMCS Andrew Posted January 30, 2008 WHMCS Developer Share Posted January 30, 2008 For number 1, all orders go to pending so you can manually approve them. The package etc gets setup (if you set it to be that way) it's just so you can monitor for fraud orders etc if you need to.
goldeagle
So how would I safely get rid of this? As the settings for the products are once payment has been received it should create the account automatically...
WHMCS Developer WHMCS Andrew Posted January 30, 2008 WHMCS Developer Share Posted January 30, 2008 Click on the order itself and click "Accept Order" This will mark the order etc as completed and the customer as active

lynnette
Click on the order itself and click "Accept Order" This will mark the order etc as completed and the customer as active If there is domain registration in the order and it has already been done, make sure you untick register domain etc before you approve the order or it will try to do it again.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 30, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 30, 2008 If there is domain registration in the order and it has already been done, make sure you untick register domain etc before you approve the order or it will try to do it again. The register options don't show if the domain is already active - ie. automatically registered. So wouldn't ever happen. Regarding flagged tickets, that only counts active ones - not closed. You must have one somewhere. Maybe in a department you aren't assigned to if you changed your assignments after it was flagged? goldeagle
Hi Matt, Nopes. The ticket exists in Sales and I am assigned to all departments. I have looked in every category, ie, open, responded, etc etc and the only one that shows up is under closed.
Nick
The second one: WHMCS doesn't have any SLA-style deadlines for tickets, so it can't possibly flag a ticket as being overdue. I assume you saw "Active flagged tickets: 1"? You can 'flag' a ticket for the attention of a particular admin, this (in 3.6.0) makes the ticket disappear from everyone's view except that admin's, and highlights it in their ticket view.
lynnette
The register options don't show if the domain is already active - ie. automatically registered. So wouldn't ever happen. Those options do show in mine and I'm using 3.5.1 and if I leave those ticked it tries to register it again, it also sends the confirmation email to the customer again. It only doesn't actually do it because it has registrar set to none by default. Also, when I accept the order I get this at the top of the page: Server Command Error Account Creation Failed: This Username is already in Use which it would be because its already been done. So when I accept an order under: Order Items I have to untick all the boxes.
goldeagle
I have done a screen shot. Lucky for me I am just setting up and tuning the system and so can iron out the problems before everything is converted...
WHMCS Developer WHMCS Andrew Posted January 30, 2008 WHMCS Developer Share Posted January 30, 2008 that screenshot shows the ticket as closed
goldeagle
Yep, didnt click at first that the colour coding etc. But from the admin home screen here is another screenie. See what I mean. To me it appears as open and red (well faint) which would suggest as overdue.
Nick
Red means closed - there's a colour chart at the bottom of the page which explains them.
