All .ca domain name searches return 'not available'

When clients search for a .ca domain on my WHMCS store, they are always advised that the domain name is unavailable, even though I can see in ENOM that the domain is available.  Other domains searches work fine. I have WHMCS version 8.6.0.

I checked the dist.whois.json file and it looks OK:

Here is a typical error message from the logs: WHOIS Lookup Error for 'cadomaintest.ca': error detail unknown

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
