ScrltOTara
Hi all: I'm new to WHMCS totally, but I can't get it installed. I uploaded the ioncube folder and am still getting this error: Site error: the file /home/tlang/public_html/manage/install/install.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator. (yes that particular ioncube loader is in the folder). I put it in the "manage" folder, which is my name for the WHMCS folder. Is this not the right place? I have other scripts running on this new server with their own copies of ioncube loaded, and they are running fine. Thanks for any help!

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 19, 2008 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 19, 2008 There is a file called "ioncube-loader-helper.php" inside the ioncube folder. Visit that folder and see what it reports the problem as being. It could be you have PHP Safe Mode enabled or the dl function disabled which prevents runtime decoding from working meaning you have to install it into the servers php.ini file. ScrltOTara
Ok, here's the weird thing. I asked tech support and they said IonCube wasn't installed, so they installed it server-wide. I then spent ALL day yesterday playing and configuring my WHMCS. Then last night about 11PM, I get the same error again. So I asked tech support who told me twice that IonCube is loaded and running normally. So I'm looking in php.ini and not seeing the line, so I'll add it and see if that fixes it. Thanks for the heads up!
