Quick question about switching to prorata billing

I have been running standard billing (due date is 1mo after signup date) for years, and want to switch to prorata billing.

What, if anything, should I expect this to break? Will PayPal subscriptions need to be signed up for again? Will it wait until the next due date of each service, invoice for the prorated amount to the 1st of the month, then pick up from there? Will it just completely ignore all services that are already active and only apply the prorated billing to new ones?
