Location as a Custom Field

Is there an easy way to get location added to a product or does it just need to be a separate product? I have the same plans/packages on different datacenters, multi region and would like to automate the order process by having the location as a Custom Field or a configurable option then once ordered auto provision the plan to whichever server was chosen. The only way I can think of is having a different product for each location instead of 1 product where you can choose the location.

As I'm continuing to look at this it may be more of a module setting. I was thinking I could assign multiple servers or a server group to the product and the custom field could pick the appropriate server. Not sure how else it could be done.

To achieve this we can develope a provisioning module with multiple product configuration options like- region, data center.

We can manage all the things with single product.
