bugster
Hello Everyone, I know this has been asked before but I haven't seen an answer yet. What is the easiest way of tracking income and transactions in QuickBooks when using WHMCS. Manually inputing duplicate information doesn't seem right at all. Maybe I'm stuck in a rut since I've been handling everything in QuickBooks for 12 years now and I've just switch over to WHMCS. Some kind of primer, a nudge in the right direction, or anyone that has any tips or tricks to share would be great. Thanks in advance for any help. kmc
Interested in this as well. At the moment we handle all non shared hosting billing in QuickBooks but are considering putting this in WHMCS once we switch the shared hosting over shortly... Arhineus
What we've always done, is a daily summary invoice in QuickBooks. It allows us to track everything for tax purposes, and cuts down on the entry work needed.
bugster
Well I guess for now I'll just enter everything manually into quickbooks each week.
frisco
I was thinking that the monthly Sales Tax Liability report would be a good source of a monthly entry into QB. But I see it reports on accrual basis. (My mid December invoices and related tax shows up there instead of when they were paid, in early January, for a few mail-in payments.) The monthly transaction report shows actual receipts, which is good for those of us reporting on a cash basis instead of accrual, but it does not separate taxes, so we can't do QB entries solely from that report either. At first thought, maybe manage the mail-in payment clients outside of WHMCS, and just those paying with credit cards inside WHMCS. In that case, the sale tax liability report would accurately show the sales amount and the tax collected... I think. How are others handling this?
