RPS Posted January 13, 2008 Share Posted January 13, 2008 I am in the process of setting up the SMTP Mail and have a question regarding the "System Emails From Name" textbox. Page location: Configuration > General Configuration > Mail tab For the System Emails From Name textbox... How does this textbox get used? From looking at the page (since there is no reference to this in the manual from what I've seen), this would mean that the e-mail will show up as FROM the value entered in that specific box, in the format of: From Name <emailaddress@domain.com> Right now, WHMCS is using the from name that is found under "Company Name" textbox located in the General tab. RPS Posted January 14, 2008 Author Share Posted January 14, 2008 Would be nice to see this either in the manual or on the page itself. The word "System" is a tad confusing... it makes me think that the WHMCS system is what it is referring to, rather than when admins send e-mail. It's also included in the same section where the "BCC Message" is, and still uses the word "System" however, it referrers to the WHMCS system, and not just admins like the word referred to before.
