WHMCS Billing - Prorata Query

Hi

Please can someone assist OR point me in the right direction. I am trying to understand how we can Pro-rata to work for our company. The challenge is being an ISP, we would create the order once signed contract received and then leave the product/service as pending on WHMCS and only activate once the internet line has gone active. The problem now is that the Pro-rata amount on the invoice doesn't correlate this information and thus is billed incorrectly, I assumed the registration date would fix this so the idea is that no invoice gets generated when the order is placed and when you set registration date then it would calculate the pro-rata value from registration date to next due date, but this isn't the case.

Please assist me to sort this out, hopefully it makes sense what I am trying to achieve.
