SMPTP Issue: Validation Error: SMTP connect() failed.

Recommended Posts

Hello WHMCS Community,

I am having trouble finding the root cause of this SMTP issue.

Error I keep getting: Validation Error: SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

I am following WHMCS guide to add gmail SMTP: https://help.whmcs.com/m/system/l/1277316-setting-up-google-as-your-mail-service-provider

I tried with different ports and no SSL/TLS that would say could not connect

I was able to add my local SMTP configuration which work but I'm unable to add office365 or gmail through SMTP. I contacted the hosting provider and they say they do not block any of these ports.

What else can I do in order to fix this? I'm in need of your help.

Thanks in advance.
