andymoo
eNom support was branded as poor in the first post in this thread. I've read from a number of sources that the level of support you get is related to where in the food chain the reseller / ETP above is. from eNom terms http://www.enom.com/terms/agreement_reseller.asp -- Support. You shall be responsible for providing customer service, billing, and technical support to your customers, Sub-Resellers below your Account, and customers of your Sub-Resellers. ..... The Backend Service Provider may, but is not obligated to, provide support directly to your customers. -- Basically, with eNom you're meant to get support from the person / company who issued your reseller account, that could be someone so far down the food chain. My guess is raise an issue with eNom when you're a 6th generation reseller and eNom will pass your inquiry onto the reseller you have a relationship with. If you deal direct as an ETP and bypass any middlemen you get fantastic support so I hear. I'd hope so too if I was going for a points based premier account and throwing $7k on their table!
4uh
I'm also disappointed to see that domain locking / unlocking isnt supported and I have read recently that whmcs doesnt update domain transfers automatically. I'm guessing that privacy protection (directi's id protect) isnt supported either ? I understand that the directi API is quite hard to work with but other systems support all this stuff so it is possible.
chickendippers
I'm not sure where we are in the eNom reseller-ETP chain, but we've never had trouble getting support directly from eNom.
LeMarque
I'm guessing that privacy protection (directi's id protect) isnt supported either ? Privacy Protect is available in WHMCs for DirectI.
chickendippers
But there's no way for a customer to disable it from the client area if they decide they don't want it.

Then again I do believe this holds true -- the larger the fish, the better the attention from these. You may want to find a reseller that you are comfortable with in terms of support and longevity. In the end, that key factor will matter moreso than initial pricing, regardless being ultimately with directi or enom.
Boston
We use Directi at the moment for domain registration and it seems to be just fine, except the domain contact information problem. For some reason when I try to change the contact information from the clients account, after clicking the "Save changes" button in the contact information form I get a blank page. Even if I unlock the domain from the Directi reseller page, I still get the same blank page after trying to save the new contact information. No errors, no nothing. Nameserver changes work perfectly even the domain is locked.
PPH
Isn't this a problem with 3.5.1 with all registrars? I had received an updated clientarea.php, but unfortunately it broke the current tickets and invoices being displayed for the client.
Boston
Where did ya get the updated clientarea.php or is there an official update to this bug?
chickendippers
When I try and update a domain's contact details with DirectI the details simply don't change...but it works from from the admin side. I sent a ticket and debug info to Matt, but nothing came of it.
urevised
I also use enom - They are fairly expensive and we would prefer someone that is slightly cheaper but why fix something that isn't broken?
