WHMCS V2.5.5 Bug Fix Update Now Available

You know how it is - you can test an application for years but you'll still find errors when its released and a lot of people begin using it. The V2.5 release is no exception - so an update is now available to fix all the problems reported so far.

 

The update download contains changed files only. These need to be uploaded overwriting any existing files. If you have upgraded to V2.5.5 before this post then you need this update.

 

* If you have purchased the upgrade service, any customers who have already been upgraded will have this fix applied for them within the next few hours. We will notify you when this has been done by email. I am aware there are still a number of people who have ordered the upgrade service and are still waiting for this to happen. You have not been forgotten - there are just a lot of upgrades to get through!

 

Fixes

 

> Fixed order confirmation email - Total Order Amount was showing as just the Product/Service Price and Domain Price was not included in the order items list

 

> Fixed Custom Field Saving - On orders, some custom field values were not saved

 

> Fixed Product Merge Fields - [ProductCustom-FieldName] was not working

 

> Fixed Admin Add New Order Error - when adding a new order from the admin area no random Order # was assigned

 

> PayPal Invoices Payment Gateway - Added new PayPal Field "no_shipping" (was giving a warning message on entering PayPal)

 

> Server Status Page Timeout Set - a timeout of 5 seconds has been added to the server status page so if it can't access a port in 5 seconds it reports it as down - before this was 30 seconds and caused a long page load delay

 

> Modified Announcements XML File - the character set for the announcements xml file was causing some invalid character warning messages with pound signs, dollar signs and other special characters. The encoding has now been modified which should resolve this.

 

> Disk Usage Update Fix - there was an error in the cPanel server module which would mean disk and bandwidth usage for accounts was not updated correctly. This has now been fixed

 

> Added Merge Field [RootUsername] for server items

 

> Fixed Ticket Reply Notifications not being sent to admins

 

> Fixed Turkish Language File Error which caused an error to be displayed when activated

 

> Added Email Validation to the entered email address when a customer replies to a ticket

 

Email Templates

 

There were also some errors with the email templates in the release which caused the code &nbsp to be displayed in various messages and the [serverIP] to not be merged correctly on welcome emails. This has been fixed and an update sql is included in the download. If you want to, you may run this SQL on your database which will empty the tblemailtemplates table again and recreate all the messages.

 

Templates

 

There is just one change to the template files. On order-complete.tpl there is now a new option. Instead of using {$orderid} you can use {$ordernumber} to display the 10 digit random order number.
