kwood
I cannot seem to be able to add any subcategories into my knowledge base. It only allows one category. Is there any way to alter this? Also, I would like to give the option of clients to share my articles through social media like Facebook. Is there any easy way to do this too please?
Davor
Sure you can add sub categories, so called nested categories. From the blog post: Quote ......The WHMCS Knowledgebase includes a hierarchy system that lets you group your articles into nested categories. You can nest in several layers, showing the nested categories within their parent categories alongside the articles...... Here is the link to this article in a series of, I think 4 articles on how to create KB more proff.: creating-an-effective-knowledgebase-4-taking-it-further Hope this helps. kwood
Hi Davor, Thank you for your response. I am still unable to find where I can create the patent category (top level). I do not seem to have the option to do this?
Davor
When you create a category, then enter this category and then click on Add Category. You need to be inside a category to create a sub category. Edited September 14, 2021 by Davor spelling
kwood
I cannot do it. When I enter the category, it doesn't give me the option to add another category. Even if I try to edit the category, it shows the parent category as 'Top Level' but I cannot alter it.
Davor
And to see where are you, there is "You are here:" that displays where are you in the hiearchy and to go back in the previous category or to the KB homepahe
kwood
I have now worked it out. Thank you. Do you know how to add a share option to share the article on social media like Facebook?
Davor
Maybe this can help, it is from 2016, but it maybe still works. I didn't used this or tested it. https://whmcs.community/topic/262429-adding-facebook-share-button-in-knowledgebase-articles/
