Adding Subcatagories and sharing option into knowledge base

I cannot seem to be able to add any subcategories into my knowledge base. It only allows one  category. Is there any way to alter this?

Also, I would like to give the option of clients to share my articles through social media like Facebook. Is there any easy way to do this too please?

Sure you can add sub categories, so called nested categories.
