Phantom Credits

Recently a client topped their WHMCS account balance up by £11.60 on the 16/11. On the 17/11 the client has questioned why 2x £20.00 were topped up. He explained that he did not manually apply these 2x £20.00 top-up's, and indeed, when I look at the CRON rule that takes payments at 10:00 PM GMT, WHMCS has taken 2x £20.00. The transaction history for the two invoices of £20.00 shows that their debit card was billed and then a second entry simply states 'Credit removed'.

If anybody can explain how all of this can happen automatically without the client or admin instigating any of these actions and also explain what 'credit removed' means I REALLY would appreciate it.
