Setting up cPanel Reseller Hosting

Hello,

I have WHMCS setup for my regular hosting accounts, but now I would like to setup being able to sell reseller accounts. A few questions I had about that are:

1) Does it automatically setup the reseller's account?

2) Do I need to have the cPanel Server in WHM configured using the root server (Currently its using a reseller).

3) On the server settings page, what do you put for WHM package name? Or do you skip that and just fill in the reseller info.

I looked in the documentation and found "Adding a Reseller Product" but it appears to have nothing on it :P

Has anyone else had any success at creating reseller accounts using WHMCS?

Thanks,

Ryan M.

1.) Yes

2.) Haven't tried, but I assume yes.

3.) Just skip that, in your reseller center, create a reseller, and under permissions, create an ACL list template, and enter that along with the space etc limitations into WHMCS.

I just found out all this last night after submitting a ticket, I googled and googled and it took me forever to figure out how to make an ACL list, because without it, it creates the account but it doesn't have any permissions to do anything like create accounts etc.

Anyways, hope that helps.

That would help keep all of the new regular accounts on the main reseller, and allow making new resellers.

Thanks for the info arcdigital.

I will be trying this as soon as I get a chance to verify that it works.
