Testing API with cURL

Hi,

I'm wanting to test the API from the command line with cURL, but I cannot work out why I'm getting "Authentication Failed".

The command I'm using is:

curl -d '{"action":"GetClientsDetails","identifier":"76LBkooIVqxu8DnkukuXQB6m3eVsGbXO","secret":"api_credentials_secret","clientid":"5","stats":"true","responsetype":"json"}' -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X POST http://my_whmcs/includes/api.php

The associated API Role just has everything from "Client" enabled. I've also tried:

  • Using username/password (with the md5 hashed password) instead of identifier/secret
  • Configuring $api_access_key in configuration.php and using username/hashed password
  • Recreating the API credentials to make sure I had the secret right

Any tips gratefully accepted.

Thanks
