Adding Custom Fields to WHMCS

Good day Everyone, 

I'm new to WHMCS module development and I will love to know a way to create a simple module that will enable me to display an additional field to the client details fields and be able to assign a price to the client area if the checkbox is ticked. 

I have tried to follow the documentation but the code keeps breaking.
