Backdating skips setup fee?

I entered two customer orders for off-server services yesterday, and backdated the invoice two days to when the services were actually rendered.

 

When the invoices were processed overnight, they were created without the setup fee.

 

Is this because I backdated the invoices? Or ???

As far as i know the setup fee is charged in the signup process only one time, so i dont think if the system generate the invoice automatically it will charge the setup fee, the best way is create this first invoice manually.
