ghpk
hi, iam very happy with whmcs, as i am importing clients manually (from offline records) i need to send the users notification for the Billing manager, who are not less than 700 - 800 in number, But as most of the servers running cpanel have a Limit set globally for "MAX emails a domain can send in a hour" This is set as 100 mails a hour on most of my servers and iam sure most of the hosts around the world set caps on this as per their hardware, load levels etc etc and this helps server from being exploited too. I am not able to find any option in whmcs to use throttle the mails sent to a certain limit of users, per hour basis. cPanel has recent made changes to this limit handling, and currently on some release versions, it may queue the mails if a domain exceeds the max allow limit for a hour and then relay them later (once they are off the threshold value with time delay), and on some versions they simply Bounce quantity above the set limit. how would whmcs handle this issue in current or future updates. thanks, ghpk
Troy
ghpk: Here's a solution for ya, (but only if you have root access): Edit, or more likely create, as it's not there by default, the file /var/cpanel/maxemail. Add to the file this single line: yourdomain.com=0 (where yourdomain.com is your whmcs site's domain name). This will override the email limits for the site, and you won't have to worry about how many emails whmcs sends.
ghpk
thanks troy, I knew this option but this may affect any other user who doesn't have the root access. I would let whmcs people take this into consideration if they think it can be a enhancement.
