datawebcorp
What's the difference between Expiry Date vs. Next Due Date? I'm assuming the Expiry Date is the date the domain expires at Enom (my registrar) and the Next Due Date is the date *I* want to be paid for the renewal? If that's the case, is there any harm in having the two dates the same?
mrprez
No, I don't see where there is any problem with that. Do you have the renewal notices setup in the config? All the customer has to do is to log in and click on My Domains and then View Details and there is a button there to renew.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted December 6, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted December 6, 2007 The difference is mainly for those that don't use integrated registrars or automatic renewal. If you think about it, when a client pays for the domain renewal, the next due date would be moved on, then how would you know it hasn't been removed? So for those, the next due date moves on, the expiry date stays as it is, the admin can then view domains expiring soon on the admin homepage, see from the next due date if it's been paid, and if it has then renew it and change the expiry date in their WHMCS records.
