What is a start and Issue# if their cards?

 

Most US cards do not have start dates on them and issue#?

 

Anyway to make it require the standard information only?

Setup >> general >> invoices >> Issue Number/Start Date - Tick to show these fields for credit card payments

I do have a question about the setting right above that

 

Accepted Credit Card Types:

 

So whatever is selected here is shown on client side when they add their card.

 

I use external gateways like paypal.

 

Why would a client have to enter card information on their profile?

 

Dont all the gateway addon modules capture this?

If your using Paypal then the credit card options mean nothing to you. If you are using a gateway like Stripe then you need to restrict which cards you can accept as not all gateways accept all cards..
