Does paypal work OK with monthly rebilling?

I am not a customer yet, but slowly making my way that. I am considering using Paypal as my only payment method since I'd have to use it anyways, plus it can handle Visa/MC (with the higher discount rate, etc).

 

Does WHMCS bill monthly OK against someones paypal account?

Hey,

 

You can use either the PayPal Invoice module or and the PayPal Subscription module for monthly payments. Subscriptions are taken from the PayPal account atomically while Invoices, an invoice is generated every month.

Do you know of place or a thread where I can read about the pros/cons of each of the paypal methods you mention ? My goal is to use one payment method/gateway (preferably paypal) so I can accept paypal and visa and mc.

Hey,

 

Well its straight forward really, both accept Credit Cards and PayPal funds. It is just that, PayPal Subscriptions, the money is taken out of the account atomically while PayPal Invoices, your customer has to go every month and click "Pay Now" and send the money to you.

Does WHMCS set up the subscription, or is that for me to do manually?

WHMCS will show a button to your customer that they can use to signup to the subscription. Nothing manual involved.
