WordWrap in Announcements

Recommended Posts

I noticed that the announcements shown were not really appealing to look at :oops:

I changed the template to add wordwrap to the text being displayed, moved the date to the top of each entry instead of at the end of an entry and I added a line in between two items.

For what it's worth I believe it's better looking now :wink:

The changes I made are were done in announcements.tpl

below is the entire contents:

{foreach key=num item=announcement from=$announcements}

{$announcement.date}

{$announcement.title}

{textformat style="email"} {$announcement.text}{/textformat}

<hr></p>

{foreachelse}

<p align=center>{$LANG.announcementsnone}</p>

{/foreach}

<p align="center">rssfeed.gif{$LANG.announcementsrss}</p>

Sam here dutchnet. Looks good.

I will be customising mine so it only shows the announcements title on the first page, with a link to the subject. I believe this would look much cleaner to the end user (easy to find the announcement they are after). If anyone is interested once I've completed it, just post and i'll add it here.

No need to bother, that has been added for the next version.
