arteryplanet
Hi, wondering if someone know if the [DedicatedIP] is generated on the fly when WHMCS create the account or is pulled from the server when the e-mail is sent? As fasr as i could see there are no fields in the user account to fill out this information. Thanx!
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 12, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 12, 2007 The Dedicated IP field is for server products. Matt
arteryplanet
Hi Matt, This is needed for resellers too, usually the main reseller account is over a dedicated ip and the same dedicated ip is used as the reseller ns1 ip. Thanx!
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 12, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 12, 2007 You can use a custom field if you need one for it with resellers. Matt
arteryplanet
Well..this is end up in another problem, as the custom field is attached to the user profile and not to the specific hosting account profile, if the client have many different accounts with dedicated ip, i have to create different custom fields, multiply that for hundred of clients, there is no way to work out this. WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 12, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 12, 2007 Not at all, the custom field can be attached to the product.

handsonwebhosting
I notice there was no reply to the last question - so while it's late, at least the next guy searching won't have a problem YES, you can use a space in your custom field and it's not a problem.
