Had a client try to register a .us domain via directi and got the error message:

 

Error: Domain Registration Error - The Application Purpose and Nexus Category for the .US domain Registrant are not specified

 

Had to log in manually to my account and register the domain as I couldn't find anyway to do this via whmcs, tried approving the order and got the same error.
