How to create an ajax result page using addon-modules

Hello,

I am trying to develop some addon-module that uses ajax functionality to display error and success messages based on events, but when i try to do ajax on output function whmcs returns whole admin page.

 

I've tried to set header to application/json but it doesn't help at all.

 

Please answer.
