How to restrict a new page from an addon to only be accessible from Admin area?

The page needs to be a new .php file which can be called externally. How to make sure that the page only works if a proper admin is logged in?

if so you need to add the following lines of code after the include of init.php file:

 

if (!isset($_SESSION['adminid'])){
   die("Access to this page is not allowed!");
}

 

if you need to call it remotely using cURL, IFrame or any other method you may need to verify the access differently
