Manually adding CNAME records in WHMCS?

Im trying to add CNAME to the customer portal but it gets kicked with "invalid domain". I can manually add the cname directly to the dns servers, but looking at other entries, at one time it was possible to add the cname records.

I have not had much luck, but am going to read over the WHMCS wiki after posting this... But it looks like I just need to manually enter the cname record on the whmcs server, but I have not had luck finding where these records live at. Anybody know the directory that the zones files are stored in for whmcs or that could point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!

any domain related functionality is totaly depend on your domain Registrar Module, so if these domains assigned to Registrar Module where DNS records feature available any records you add will be sent directly to Registrar Server directly, also any records displayed to you will be pulled from their server/API, nothing to be saved in WHMCS.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to successfully contact the person who managed the whmcs panel, and there were changes made to disable what I am trying to do. So I've identified the problem(undocumented changes) and should be able to get it resolved somewhat quickly.

Thanks!
