Sub Accounts?

ckelsoe

Question

Is it possible to set up an user to have sub accounts? The scenario is that I have an user that is "reselling" hosting - ie she gets a % discount off of the hosting price. I would like to allow them to see all of their accounts, however, have the accounts available to the ultimate customer individually.

Thanks in advance.

Best bet is simply to have all their clients within their account - as they are reselling their clients would not expect to have access into your system.

Your reseller might have their own system and would show those hosted plans to their clients in there at his prices, which may or may not be the same as your prices - he may choose to undercut you or charge more.

This is no different to you having an account at Enom for domains - you are reselling their services, but your clients do not have a login to Enom :)

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the over simplified answer. In fact, their customers occasionally do want access to the control site. While it is possible to allow the end user direct access to the control panel, this adds some manual steps provisioning the user account, etc. In some control panels, having sub users is not even an option. So it is simpler to have the billing system manage everything including having the ability of sub accounts. Apparently, WHMCS does not have that ability.
