jacksoggetto
They will probably delete this, if so I'll post on webhostingtalk I'm using EU VAT addon. It stopped working. when the user adds his VAT (if a eu business) the system was checking it to be correct and then set the client as tax exempt. I guess that with the last upgraded they made a mistake, causing this feature to stop working. So, first of all a warning, if you are an EU based company, or you have clients in eu (so you're charging VAT) be careful, as it stopped working and you have to check manually your clients Second, after telling their support about the issue (that again, is needed by anyone working with europe and it's supposed to be a native function) here you have their answer: Hey Ivan, I have also been able to replicate this on my local install as well. As such, I have opened a case with our Developers for further investigation and review: CaseID: MODULE-6376 I do not have an ETA on when this will be resolved but you can check the changelog when we release new updates and search for the case provided above to see if this was included @ http://changelog.whmcs.com/ For now, if you enter the VAT number from the Admin UI and save, it will validate and set the client as exempt, just not from the client area. If you have any further questions/issues, please let me know. Thanks! not a very helpful answer, as with their timing it will be years before this will be working again... but the best has yet to come. my answer: if you would unscramble the code this would be done in 20 minutes by someone from the community, or just me. Any chances I can get the code of the module to solve it? and then: Hey Ivan, Unfortunately I cannot provide the source of the module freely. However, if you like I can provide it to your for the cost of $75 and signing our NDA. If this is something you would like to do, please let me know and I can make that happen for you. If you have any further questions/issues, please let me know. Thanks! WHAAAT??? They are even asking me money to solve a native function that should be working and that stopped working due to their upgrades??? A professional provider would have found a different solution I guess. I'm seriously looking around to find a better option and migrate to a new billing software as dealing with them is getting worse and worse every day
