WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 8, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 8, 2006 Have you definately got the IP for the server where you aren't getting any data entered correctly?
coffee23
Hi, Yep the server details are in there and all correct. I edited them out of the original post for security reasons.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 8, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 8, 2006 Ok, well if it can't connect to the server for that, it probably can't connect to create accounts on it either. Could be a firewall issue? Are no functions working on the remote server? Matt
coffee23
Hi Matt, I can confirm that it will not create accounts on server 2. What port do i have to open on the firewall (APF) for it? update: I deleted the server from the control panel and re-entered it, double checked everything and it is still got the same problems.
Steve
What port do i have to open on the firewall (APF) for it? You need to open outgoing port 2086 on your main server and open both incoming and outgoing port 2086 on the remote server.
taylorwilsdon
APF should not, in most any case, block WHM =| Very odd.

Incoming and outgoing ports 2086 are open on both servers.

WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 9, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 9, 2006 Is your WHM using the default theme? Matt
coffee23
Hi, Yes, both server are running the same theme. Would the following make a difference: Server 1 (this is installed on): PHP/4.4.2 - mysql (4.1.19-standard) Server 2 (will not connect to): PHP/5.1.4 - mysql (4.1.19-standard)
Harrison
Matt didn't you say you were still testing WHMCS with PHP5, or is that just hosting WHMCS in a PHP5 environment?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 9, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 9, 2006 I am aware of people running WHMCS on PHP5 without any problems. The PHP version on the remote server will not make any difference to whether or not WHMCS can perform WHM functions on it. I am unsure what is causing coffee23's problem. Please wait for V2.5 being released stable in the next few days and see if the problem still occurs in this. Matt
coffee23
Hi Matt, I will wait, thanks for letting me know.
Steve
You could try stopping APF on both servers temporarily to see if the firewall is blocking it. Run this on both servers: service apf stop Then to start APF again run: service apf start

Run this on both servers: service apf stop Then to start APF again run: service apf start Hi, Why ever did i not think of that lol Anyways i stopped APF on both servers and ran the Usage Summary and it worked like a dream. Now i will turn one off and try again to locate the server with the problem APF, then try and get that working as it should again. Thanks to everyone who gave a suggestion, and tried to help.
coffee23
Hi, Found the problem, it was the APF firewall on the main server (the one this is installed on), for some reason it was not opening the outgoing port 2086. To fix it i re-installed it and now it is all working.
