simplehelix
I have been getting some orders from outside countries such as germany, denmark, poland, thailand, etc.. and they all seem to apply with a visa/master card. I am wondering if this is legit? They seem to be emailing me why their account was declined. Should I tell them? I know that Authorize.net does not do a Address Verification System check on cards outside of USA. What should I do? What do you guys do?
ur
Tell them politely that they should fax you a front and back copy of the credit card along with an authorization to charge their card. I would not specify why their card was declined. It is none of their business if they are not willing to do what I suggest (IMO).
a.borg
I agree, a copy of the front of the CC and a copy of the driverslicense/ID
webresellers
We do this all the time, and you will quickly see that 95% of these orders are fraud, and they will not contact you again after your request, or they will start giving you lame excusses how their site needs to be asap, and they dont have a fax machine, scanner, etc....
ServMap
I use maxmind for fraud prevention, but geoIP/iplocator not always work good in some countries. If they look suspicious, ask them to send front&back copy of the cc.
