merge 2 WHMCS into a third WHMCS Version

hi,

 

i have to merge 2 WHMCS 5.3.14 installations(domain1 and domain2) into a new WHMCS installation (domain3).

I would like to use the latest version of WHMCS for the 3rd WHMCS (domain3).

so at this moment 6.1.1

 

the domain3 should be online at 15.12.2015 so i have plenty of time.

 

here my question:

 

i have to wait min. a few month till WHMCS has an WHMCS to WHMCS importscript for V6.

 

idea1: i setup an 5.3.14 Version embed all Clients and upgrade the WHMCS 5 up to the latest 6 Version

(with a prepared six template)

 

(my first try to upgrade from 5.3.14 to 6.1. ends in a broken V6 Version)

 

idea2: i setup an V6.1.1. Version and import the database manually table by table from both 5.3.14 Versions.

.. what could cause some problems with double invoice numbers a.s.o.

this problems would be fixed with the WHMCS merge script or?

 

maybe someone has a better idea?

so you have A and B installations, it's better to merge A+B then upgrade B to v6.1.1.

do not copy/merge DB tables manually as it may (it will) cause conflict with clients/invoices/etc IDs.
