Kian
Preamble (you can skip this) Once upon a time there was a commercial module called Grouppay also known as Clanpay. Here's the description taked directly from its official github.com page. Group Pay allows the ability to have multiple people contributing to one hosting bill. Some other hosting providers offer this under the name of Clan Pay. It is a good way to let each payer know that the money they are sending is actually going to the hosting bill. Now it's 2015 and this module is no longer supported and updated since 2013. This means that the module is very oldish and lacks of some very important features like a decent front-end and back-end. Maybe it was acceptable in 2013 but not now. Also it was only working with PayPal. That said, I'm considering to develop a brand new module that can replace the old Grouppay and outclass it with tons of new features, a better interface with more data and that can work with all payment gateways configured in your WHMCS and not just with PayPal. Start here Basically I'm talking about a Crowdfunding module where your clients can create a page to collect donations. They can define an alisas URL like yourcompany.com/donate/mike (there's a system that doesn't allow them to use words that you have blacklisted in their URLs) upload their logos, provide a description like "Donate and I will use this money to buy a pen", a thank you message like "Thank you for your support <3", define a recurring goal like "200€ every 3 months" that automatically resets every 3 months and updates gauges with a percentage of completion and decide if they want to display a list of donators or not (yes, there's also a list with Top donators section). Here's a preview of the page designed by me with on paint please use your imagination. http://katamaze.com/templates/katamaze/images/upcoming/2015-08-29-17-17-24.png On this awesome page visitors/donators will find all informations I described above, a smal logo/description of your company in the footer (optional) and of course a dropdown where they can select their favorite payment method, donate money (pay you) and decide if they want to stay anonymous and/or write a sweet message to your client. All donations are automatically or manually (in case you want to review/approve transactions) added to clients balance. They can use this money to order/renew services they have with you. Before you ask yes, there's a way to define a minimum/maximum amount per payment for every single payment gateway and you can also define fees (fixed, percentage, fixed + percentage) still for every single gateway. For more details take a look at the unfinished backend where you can see all options that you can configure (click to zoom) with explanations in red. http://katamaze.com/templates/katamaze/images/upcoming/2015-08-29-17-20-52.png It would be great if you could suggest me features for this new project of mine before I release it. Kian
I've entirely updated the thread with more informations since I've already started to work on it and I've already received some suggestions on my website. Tapeix
It would be nice to add a countdown, like: 'still 20 hours to raise $150.- bucks before ending', and a feature to let people donate more money (once the goal has been finished) to start raising money for the next period (you'd probably know, sometimes a fund can be very successful, so why stop raising money? Just finish the second, third, fourth and fifth goal after that, so the man that sells coolies can enjoy his hosting for the next five years). Good luck!
Kian
There isn't an hard-limit to donations. You are still allowed to receive more money and exceed 100%.
