americanprincessweb
Any word on the import script for Whois.Cart yet? I just installed WHMCS and I'm really impressed with what I see so far, and now I'm itching to get my clients over so they can start using it.
s1rk3ls
I moved from whoiscart, but had to manually copy over my customers info... I was able to import accounts from WHM, but then had to enter contact/billing info - it was a long, lengthy process Saeven consulting has some great products and fairly good support but their cart was stuffed on the back burner for some new version that had been promised forever and never materialized - with no more updates being provided for it beside critical issues, and too many little buggy annoyances and very little billing control (such as manual invoices and account history, etc) I went searching for a better solution.... WHMCS FTW!!! *ahem* as you can see, I'm excited about WHMCS Good choice, and good luck on the import script, I hope it's available for you soon (perhaps with v3?) so you don't have to go through manually inputting account info.
americanprincessweb
^^ I agree. So many promises of Silverstar (which was promised to blow every other similar product out of the water), plus you have to pay to use Auracle (their ticket support system that works in conjunction with Whois.Cart). But WHMCS combines all of that, and for a decent price too. So I guess that's my only option at this point: manual import. Small price to pay, I suppose. Good luck to the others who manage to get their hands on the import script for Whois.Cart. I'm off to import.
Dixiesys
I have 2 whoiscart installs I'd like to import a total of something like 4000 clients, manual importation is not an option. WHMCS now would be an awesome time to come forward with that import script

Dominic
I'd also love a Whoiscart import script - manual importing would take us about a week Current [soon to be Ex-] whoiscart user, Silverstar-waiter and Auracle-hater here
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 28, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 28, 2007 Could someone please send me a copy of their Whoiscart database to matt@whmcs.com (structure+data would be best, but structure alone would do). I can't help thinking the one I have has some stuff missing!!
Dixiesys
Gladly, sending you a dump of one of my whoiscart installs now. One problem I've had however is the encrypted card data being corrupted in a mysqldump due to unprintable characters.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted January 28, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted January 28, 2007 Thanks, received it. Our import scripts don't normally import credit card data. If you have some code for getting the unecrypted form of this information from the database then I could add this in too. Matt
Dixiesys
I gave you my script in a helpdesk ticket already I'll resend via email, don't think a php script that shows unencrypted whoiscart credit cards is something I should post publicly eh?
Himeko
Trying the script now but it's giving some error, opened a ticket about it, hope it can be resolved Been using Whois.cart for over 6 years, finally decided to move on.
Himeko
Fatal error: Call to undefined function [obfuscated]() in /home/brian/public_html/sales/whoiscartimport.php on line 0 Seems as if the script wont run on current PHP versions (5.2+), but it's encoded with IonCube ;( it imports some data then stops with the error.
