HarryWales
I upgraded whmcs to v6 on Saturday, since then I have not received my normal backup zip file via email after the Cron job runs at 6am. Checking it out earlier I saw this in the whmcs activity log: "Cron Job: Database backup unavailable due to missing required zip extension" I cannot find any settings relating to this zip extension... So, I thought I would do a manual backup from the Database Status page, but that failed with the message: "Backups Disabled The PHP Zip Extension is required to utilise database backups." Daily automatic backups via email (and manual backups) were both working fine right up to the point I did the upgrade to whmcs 6. Anyone else had this and found a fix?
HarryWales
If anyone else has the same issue in whmcs 6 do please let me know - because at the moment I don't know if this is a bug - or if it is just something with my whmcs setup - thanks!
lee-wservices
Mine sends them fine since update so dont think its a software wide issue.
HarryWales
Hi Lee, Many thanks for the reply - can you also confirm that manual backups from the Database Status page also work ok for you?

Yeah works fine downloads as a zip maybe its changed and server needs to have the php zip extension installed.
HarryWales
It is all working ok now - but I don't know yet if the WHMCS team fixed it, or if my server team fixed it. But at least it is working again.
