Handing Fraud Orders

I'm a new WHMCS user. My previous billing system worked exactly like you want it to, and I would want it to work the same way.

1) New customer orders service, but does not pay.

2) The order is put on hold so it can be reviewed (since they are a new customer, with no previous orders)

3) I approve the order, since I can see it's a legitimate customer.

4) Order is moved to "pending payment" area and no hosting setup takes place.

5) If/when customer pays the invoice, THEN the hosting is automatically provisioned.

I want two things, and I would think most hosts would want the same:

a) Manual approval of any order by a brand new client.

b) No hosting is setup without payment being received first (unless manually over-ridden)

Possible?

Hi Scott

Yes, both are possible.

A) To prevent auto-setup of services for new clients, you can go to the following in you WHMCS Admin panel:

- Setup > General Settings > Ordering (Tab) > Only Auto Provision for Existing

Tick that box and save the changes.

B) When you create a hosting product in WHMCS, you would need to select the following option in the 'Module Settings' tab:

- Automatically setup the product as soon as the first payment is received
