Downloadable items and forum

Hi,

 

Thinking about using WHMCS and have a few questions

 

1. Does the current version of WHMCS (have check the demo and it doesn't look like it) or will v6 be able to tell me if a downloadable product has been downloaded, via the admin area?

 

2. Is there a module or mod out there that will let customers who have ordered link there account into a forum, such as SMF, PHPBB.

What I would like is to have forum areas for each downloadable product that customers can get support on.

1) by default you can see how much time specific file has been downloaded from Admin Area > Support > Downloads > [Category Name]

but if you need to know if one of these files downloaded by specific client(s), this can be done with small addon module, you can write it or hire developer to make it for you.

 

2) there are few forum linking modules you can find in this forum or in WHMCS Appstore, you can check this one:

To add to the above response, no, v6 won't give you the functionality you need to see if a specific client has downloaded a product or not. You'd still need a 3rd party addon once v6 is stable.
