Extremely slow dologin.php

Recommended Posts

I host everything on an ESX environment I've built, on a VM with the following:

8GB RAM

6 CPU

75GB HDD

1GB/s Connection

DNS is hosted on CloudFlare

Webserver Info:

nginx version: nginx/1.2.1

PHP 5.4.39-0+deb7u1

ioncube_loader_5.4

MYSQL Info:

innodb_version 5.5.41

version5.5.41-0+wheezy1

The issue:

Once logged in WHMCS, everything is very smooth and fast - the issue is at login (http://www.domain.com/members/dologin.php) after clicking “Login" (http://www.domain.com/members/login.php).

The login seems to take up to four minutes to log in, and I was wondering if anyone here has encountered this error in the past, and has some brilliant insights to a resolution.

I have gone over server logs, tried different browsers and internet connections (because caching is a b***ch :))

Initially, I had the same issue with everything hosting on an Apache environment (same HW specs), so I moved to Nginx as it's quite frankly overall better at hosting static content.

After leaving it alone for several hours, logging in now results in a Error 524 Timeout error; iit seems that the login worked in the previous session, as when I exit my browser and relaunch to enter the client area I am already logged in.
