Customer being charged three times in one week for a monthly account

Greetings to all,

 

I've had a customer that has been charged three times in one week for a monthly hosting account. It has actually deducted the payment from their Paypal account 3 times in one week.

 

Anyone else had this happen? It's a good way to lose a customer.

 

Can any one tell me where I may have a setting set wrong that would cause this to happen. Their account shows as being a monthly account and even shows when the next due date is which is a month away.

 

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Do you have forced subscriptions enabled? It sounds as though your customer has been paying manually at same time as having a subscription active. They may have also started 2-3 subscriptions.

"Do you have forced subscriptions enabled?" Not even sure where this is located. Any help with this - location?

 

Thanks! I'll check in to it. I know that they started their new hosting account directly through my hosting website and then on to the > WHMCS billing system on their own.

have the user login to their paypal account and kill all subscriptions to you,

In the setup/payments/payment gateways, locate the paypal settings, there are a few there Make sure that the one for force is turned OFF, unless you want to have issues with clients making manual payments and paypal sending subscriptions on same invoice

Thank you. I unchecked anything that had the word 'force' in it and saved. I believe there was about 3 of them on that page.
