Change multiple accounts

Does anyone know of a faster way to "change" multiple accounts from "Inactive" status to "closed" status, with out having to edit each account individually?

 

(maybe a sql script or something?)

 

I need to edit 6 pages of accounts and change them from inactive status to closed status, and trying to do that 1 account at a time is going to take forever. And the only option when "checking" the box beside each name is to "send message". (Would be nice if there was more options there)

Try this:

 

UPDATE tblclients

SET status='Closed'

WHERE status='Inactive';

 

I confirmed the query works fine but it will close ALL accounts marked as Inactive. I would suggest you run the query on a non-production install first or, at the very least, backup your database before you run the query.

Thanks for that. If it marks "All" inactive accounts to closed, then that's okay. that is what I am wanting. Most of our "inactive" accounts have been inactive for to long and have built up.

 

Backups are always important... Always do that before doing anything.
