Skinner
Hi, I just upgraded my server specs and was thinking of using CentOS 6.5 because of it's great EOL but I guess that would be pointless now with the PHP version to be used in the next major release of WHMCS. Do you recommend an OS at all?? LTS. ( Stable ) Also you say PHP 5.5 will be supported, does that mean that WHMCS & Ubuntu 14.04 with PHP 5.5.9 will be fine with the next major release? Thanks.
Skinner
A response would be nice, I have a business to run.
WHMCS Ryan
The minimum requirements for the pending release are discussed in this blog post. In theory, Ubuntu 14.04 with php 5.5.9 would be supported but I cannot say that with 100% certainty as it is still a work in progress. Currently that configuration is not supported but we are working on it.
Skinner
Thanks, I can see that. But why PHP 5.3.7 It would be nice to see a detailed reason for the PHP upgrade to a point that CentOS 6.5 is somehow booted out. I also asked what distros do you support?
mscholten
I suggest changing it to PHP 5.4 as PHP 5.3 is EOL (announced on PHP.net).

I run Virtualmin on all servers and have to keep it Grade A OS http://www.sasaprolic.com/2013/02/list-of-current-php-version-in-major.html
