networkeq
We have been trialing WHMCS and are very impressed so far. However, we are trying to get it to work with Protx and recurring payments. WHMCS submits the request OK but it doesn't go through. Protx tell me this is because the CV2 value is not being sent through as 000 like it should. Could anyone please advise on this issue before we commit to WHMCS? DigitalEnigma
Hi, I have just tested my test install and see the same problem, card declined with error about CV2 not being sent. I don't see in the ProTX docs where it says to send the CV2 value as 000 for CA transactions, suerly forcing it to not check with ApplyAVSCV2=2 would work?
networkeq
I haven't read the Protx docs, but their support people say it needs to be sent as "000". I could force it to not check AVS and CV2 but that is not ideal especially as WHMCS and Protx are supposed to work together.

networkeq
I've just tried without AVS/CV2 checks and that doesn't seem to work either. Anyone from WHMCS able to shed light on this?

DigitalEnigma
Hi, I have added this to my ticket I have open about a related issue, an existing customer cannot use existing card as that too results in the same error when placing a new order they always have to reenter card details even if it is the same card we have onfile.
networkeq
Thanks. Let me know if you hear anything. How long to WHMCS typically take to resolve something like this?
DigitalEnigma
On a side note the ProTX docs do say that CV2/AVS checks cannot be performed on CA transactions.... which leads me to ask why on earth is it trying to then. Suerly if they can't be done the system should be smart enough to know it is a CA transaction so not to bother.
networkeq
Yea it doesn't do them but the protocol needs the CV2 value to be sent in as 000 for it to work at all.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 26, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 26, 2007 Looks like this is a new requirement of ProtX's as there's been a few tickets in recent weeks about ProtX support saying a 000 value should be sent when the CVV isn't present. If you need the updated module, just open a ticket. How long to WHMCS typically take to resolve something like this? Once I know about something, maybe a few seconds Matt
