kcackler
As I do not do web hosting, I have no desire to work with monthly recurring subscriptions or auto-charging a user's account. Several of my customers already have a CC on file in WHMcs, but from what I've read, the minute I make the invoice for them, their card is going to be auto-processed. I don't want it to be set up like this. I want the customers to have to log in and manually click the 'pay' button before charging their card. Sometimes when I finish a project for a client, they won't have the funds available for another few days. I don't want to auto-charge their card because it might cause them to overdraw. So is there a setting to do this? I hope there is some way to do this...
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 26, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 26, 2007 Hi Kevin, It won't be the minute you create it, but on the due date of the invoice WHMCS will try and take the payment when the cron runs. The only way to prevent that would be to set it to a manual gateway like PayPal Invoices or Main in Payment and then the user can change the payment method when viewing the invoice in your client area and they are actually ready to pay. kcackler
But then for each new invoice that I create, I would have to manually set that payment method back to paypal invoice... It would be really great if I could configure what actually gets done when the cron runs. I imagine the cron file just calls some function to generate/send/charge invoices when it's called...If I could remove the call to that function (and I can't, obviously, because it's all encoded) then that would solve all of my problems... How much would you charge me Matt to make the cron file not call the function to charge cards? Kevin
